In a previous blog, we alerted 1031 exchangers and all other buyers and sellers to expect longer settlement times due to implementation of the new CFPB TRID rules and new forms after Aug 1, 2015. As a qualified Intermediary (QI) we are prepared during the transition period late this summer to provide settlement agents and lenders with 1031 settlement instructions for use with either the new Closing Disclosure or HUD-1.
Doing a 1031 exchange should not disrupt any settlement or cause any delay.
